Medical shrinkable tubingHighest precision for people and medical devices
Our portfolio of heat-shrinkable tubing for medical applications includes products with a variety of features designed specifically for medical devices. The heat shrinkable tubing made with top expertise is certified according to ISO 10993 and USP Class VI.
Perfect solutions for medical progress
Thanks to the innovative advances in process technology and material science, the new dual-wall polyether block amide technology enables, for example, optimisation of the current industry standard method for connecting the tubing layers. The outer layer shrinks whilst the inner layer flows and joins the PTFE insert's adhesive mesh without an FEP layer or another aid. Our options include application-specific special formulations (colour concentrates, radiopaque additives, conductive polymeric materials, reactive compositions and adhesives), and networking on a molecular level.
- Thin-walled polyolefins
- High-temperature, flexible and semi-rigid fluoropolymers
- Dual-wall designs
- Controlled longitudinal shrinkage
- Transparent and coloured designs
- Material diversity
- International certifications

Other shrinkable tubing for use in medical technology:
SRFR - Highly flexible silicone shrinkable tubing
High temperature resistant, the SRFR is a very flexible heat-shrinkable tube with a shrinkage ratio of 1.4:1 to 1.7: 1. It is suitable for covering sharp-edged objects, without the risk of bursting. The silicone shrinkable tubing impresses with its exceptional flexibility and sterilisation and in all areas of technology with extreme temperature requirements.
TFER/TFE - High temperature resistant heat-shrinkable tubing
TFER, made of modified Teflon, is characterised by excellent resistance to acids and lyes. This highly flame-retardant, heat-shrinkable tubing is particularly suitable for insulating and protective purposes in thermally and chemically demanding applications; the electrical properties remain constant over a wide temperature range.
Der TFE can be used across a wide temperature range from -67 ℃ to +250 ℃ (briefly 400 ℃). Additional features held by this Teflon shrinkable tubing are high mechanical strength and low friction co-efficiency.
