The TAPE silicone elastomer tapes self-amalgamate at ambient temperature. These tapes are used for fixing, sealing, connecting and finishing the cut ends of sleeves exposed to high temperature. They can also be used to provide local protection to connection accessories and other wire harness components. Available with and without fibreglass reinforcement.

curing conditions After several hours at ambient temperature, the tape's surfaces stick together when light pressure is added. Amalgamation completed after 15 minutes (at 250 °C); 20 minutes (at 200 °C); 35 minutes (at 150 °C), 80 minutes (at 127 °C); 120 minutes (at 120 °C).
